Silent Hill Downpour is a much awaited survival horror video game. It is the eighth installment in the Silent Hill series. Silent Hill Downpour is predicted to be the best series in the Silent Hill. The video gamers have to wait till March 31st 2012, as this game is scheduled to be released by then.  This game is developed by the renowned Vatra Games and published by Konami Digital Entertainment. Another interesting fact about Silent Hill Downpour is that it will be the first in the series to be 3D.

 Silent Hill Downpour Gameplay

Silent Hill Downpour’s gameplay will include combat action and the mind blasting puzzle-solving. The game will use a third-person perspective and fixed camera views as well. The player character will be given access to a few firearms and different kinds of breakable melee weapons, but the gamer will only be able to carry a single weapon at a time. Silent Hill Downpour will feature puzzles with different difficulty level and the player will be free to choose them. The side-quests that will be able to change depending on the play style of the player will also be present. To make this edition a little more interesting and lively the buildings of the previous edition will be changed to the torrential rain.

Silent Hill Downpour follows a prisoner named Murphy Pendleton who is stranded in the town of Silent Hill after the prison transport vehicle he is being transported with gets off the road. The events of the plot take place in the southeastern region of Silent Hill, which has remained unexplored in previous games in the series, and the plot too will be unrelated to previous installments. The natural response, the fight as well as the flight is left to the player as they unravel a dark, thought-provoking storyline which will fascinate the fans of the early and classic Silent Hill series, as well as everyone who enjoys a deep, psychological horror experience.

The players of the Silent Hill Downpour will encounter mind-bending puzzles, as well as horrific creatures and other world terrors which are designed by using everyday objects like wooden chairs and glass bottles to defeat their enemies. One of the first few scares involves a flock of scary birds jumping at the player from behind a collection of branches.
